VAUEN Pipes Filters was founded in Germany (Bavaria) in 1848. We have a proud tradition of over 160 years of creating fine tobacco pipes. From our basic pipe line to our exclusive Solitaire, Extra and Pipe of the Year each pipe is fashioned from the highest quality Briar wood to the exacting standards the world has come to expect from German craftsmanship.
With the pipe smokers enjoyment in mind VAUEN invented the active charcoal pipe filter in 1934. Marketed under the Dr. Perl junior brand name our pipe filters with its unique design and high quality charcoal allows the smoke to circulate inside the filter providing a smooth clean draw. All our pipes are designed for use with this special 9mm filter which can be used with other pipe brands.
